I don't know about you but I love a weekend away. There is something so exhilarating about a Friday after work, racing to leave the city and getting away from it all...
The thing is, you don't have to be rich to do it. Just hop in the car, with a tent, tripod, camera, and eatable essentials (yes including wine) and off you go to explore.
I won't kid you here. I'm not really a camper type of gal, per say, but if I was, I would totally do it. Obviously, massive numbers of pillows, a great mattress and of course. my yummy silk duvet would definitely be a part of my camping ensemble. As it is though, I don't really camp.
So, what is the ultimate getaway? Well that depends on what you are looking to do really.
If you're on a limited budget, then perhaps hop into your car and head north. No destination in mind, just drive. Have you ever done that? It's quite exciting.
This weekend took me to Muskoka in the north of Ontario. This place is known around the globe (yes it actually is) as a hot spot to get away and indulge in the privacy of the lush green foliage that surrounds so many beautifully situated homes along the pristine Lake of Bays.
Lake of Bays is a township within the District of Muskoka in Ontario, Canada. I have to say, my favorite findings in my explorations there are the stunning natural landscapes of forests, rocks, lakes and
wetlands. So if you ever head out there, make sure you visit Arrowhead Park, where you will find some breathtaking trails... oh and FYI... beware of bears... no joke. Now wouldn't the be amazing??
So... who wants to go to Muskoka?
